BILL USHER has played and recorded dozens of albums with a who’s who of Canadian greats – including Bruce Cockburn, Valdy, Ronnie Hawkins, David Essig, Stan Rogers, Daniel Lanois, Fraser & DeBolt, Willie P. Bennett.
Bill's produced more than 60 albums. He wrote a book on the Mariposa Folk Festival, music for films and television shows, and created the TV variety series Troupers for Oscar-winning Atlantis Films. Bill produced musical documentaries for CBC radio and wrote three one man plays that he toured across Canada.
Now calling the Canadian Rockies home, Bill Usher steps front and centre stage once more with the release of his debut songwriting album, SLOWDANCING IN THE BALLROOM OF LIFE. "These are the kinds of songs that a kid just can't write...and surely shouldn't sing. They've already sung their way into my life," says Dugg Simpson of the Vancouver Folk Music Festival.
