Bakunin’s Bum is a Montreal based “beets and strings” musical/ spoken word collaboration between 1-Speed Bike (godspeed you black emperor!, Exhaust) and Norman Nawrocki (Rhythm Activism, Da Zoque!)
1-Speed Bike is a long-time Montreal activist and musician. He’s a member of the city’s anarchist bookstore collective. He’s on a life long quest to combine anti-authoritarian politics, fucked up music, humour, homebrew and vegetarian cuisine.
Norman is an actor, musician, author and community activist. With his bands, he has some 45 albums. He’s also a sex educator and cabaret artist and has published five books. He sometimes dresses up as a giant penis or a giant vagina and tours. He also lectures and gives workshops about creative resistance.
