biographical info
Childhood friends Kevin Maretz and Andrew Platt have been playing together for many years. After deciding to get serious about forming a band, they invited their friend Brendon Schick to join their group. They played a few shows, and grew popular with their friends. After a while, they realized that three people was not enough to perform their songs with. They then invited Riley Supeene to join. With Andrew on bass and singing lead vocals, Kevin on lead guitar, Brendon on drums and Riley on guitars, they now form Away and Anywhere. They chose the name after going through many others (PEAR, Penguin Resort etc.) but none really represented them as well. Away and Anywhere are influenced by many different artists, from Bright Eyes to A Day to Remember to Panic! at the Disco to Pink Floyd, the list goes on. They are aiming for a Folk, Punk, Pop and Hard Rock mix that everyone can enjoy. They take pride in clever lyrics, technical beats and big surprises in their songs. They have big plans and don’t plan on ever slowing down
