biographical info
Native from the town of Brossard in the province of Quebec, Autumn's Mutt is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who aspires to lend people their dreams coming far away from the ordinary. It was in the early summer days of 2008 when he picked up a pencil and created his own form of a permeating language of sound - a sound that has become fresh and new to the ears of his suburban and Montreal audiences.
His ambition is to bring into life as close as can ever be what many mistakenly believe is lifeless, cold and relative. Accomplishing this by guitar, piano, or even glockenspiel, his catchy tunes and colorful lyrics will certainly be incentive enough for raising a few eye-brows.
He plays gigs on a regular basis at the college-campus communities in Montreal, and is a featured performer at the Yellow Door Coffeehouse, a well-known music-drenched performance venue for independent artists.
In 2010, he released his first demo, which very quickly became his first self-produced EP, with the tongue-in-cheek title 'Are You Going to P'.
He is mostly inspired by the likes of Jon Foreman, Ben Gibbard, and Matt Thiessen (from bands Switchfoot, Death Cab For Cutie, and Relient K); and Stars, Travis, Jack's Mannequin, and Matt & Kim. He shares a tight friendship with acclaimed Vancouver-based indie-rock band Maclean.
