Active since 2006, Automelodi is the main musical project of
songwriter/producer Xavier Paradis. Blurring the sonic boundaries
between primitive electronic sounds and live instruments is probably
one of the main aesthetic ideas defining Automelodi’s music. This
certainly reflects the band’s wide range of influences, which include
Phil Spector’s bursts of madness (musically speaking, of course),
Mancunian Pop, and the minimal electro-pop of early ‘80s French bands
such as Mathématiques Modernes.
