biographical info

These are my first recordings. I created them using a USB "Blue Snowball" professional Microphone, Garage Band on my Mac, and singing and playing guitar. I wrote all my own tunes and use sythetic instruments and loops to flll out the rest.
I began playing piano in the first grade and after 6 years of private lessons, I switched to learning the flute at school in band/music class, until I graduated High School. I still play it every once in a while but have a hard time reading sheet music and play mostly by ear (the reason I dropped piano - I prefered to memorize my music and play by ear, rather than read it) In the last 10 years I have taught myself to play the guitar and can play a few chords - you only need a few, though I would like to learn to finger pick or solo. I have been singing for as long as I can remember but first started performing in musical theatre in grade 7 when I landed the role of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz in the high school production, as well as performances in a few other musicals. In high school I frequently performed alongside my sister at boarding school, who played the guitar as well as sang, while I sang in harmony and accompanied on the flute . I also sang with a few other talented school mates on open mike nights, and briefly joined the school choir. I've been writing my own songs and lyrics for about 9-10 years and just recently got myself a microphone so I'm extremely happy that I can finally share my songs. I have been hearing the music in my head with all the harmonies and extra instruments but have lacked the ability to let others hear it too.  I am a graphic designer, illustrator and web designer by day. I've just completed all the album art as well. I hope everyone listens and enjoys. And if you think I'm super fantastic, I'm all ears and don't mind the praise! :P
