artist Asak

Here is a short bio background on Asak's roots:

" I was born four short years before George Lucas's Tie Fighters first graced our screens, into a North West England working-class backgound. Brought up on a diet of Barry Manilow and Barbra Streisand by parents who worked in the long forgotten industry of quality clothes-making.

From singing like a cherub during primary school, through my first synthesizer during high school to my first electric guitar in college - I was always able to find some way to make a noise (not necessarily a nice one, but a noise nonetheless).

My music varies genre from song to song but there will always be at least one harmony. I've tried to give them up but they just keep creeping in there.

I hope at least some of you enjoy (at least) some of what you hear... here.

By the way, I am a big fan of the word 'sponge'. "

As for myself, I met him back in early 2004 and was an instant fan after listening to his songs.

It was clear to me that this man possesed more then just aspirations to his lifelong passion with Music. He is also extremely talented in a wide range of instruments and has amazed me many times playing piano/keyboards guitars/bass, not to mention his capability of teaching himself how to play new instruments as classic as a full sized harp! Many times I've listened to him replicate a new song he likes  by looping the track & within a matter of hours, replicating the chord structures on his keyboard or guitar.

Its rare to find someone with the creativity to write all the music & lyrics to original songs, and also having the techonological background including a university dergree in Audio/Visual Engineering and worked in the TV industry in that capacity for 5 years. He does all his own production and sound engineering on his tracks using the latest sound egineering technology & software.

And who am I? Only the other half of musical genius, New Zealand born, Canadian raised and living in England the past 3 years who recognises talent and skill and has driven Asak to put all his brilliant original songs down for the rest of the world to hear. I have faith that someone, somewhere, somehow will recognise his talent & skill outside of our circles of family & friends.
