biographical info
Childhood friends Troy Flamand and Brendan Ricard shared a passion for music at an early age. Troy expressed an interest to embrace his Metis roots by picking up the fiddle, quickly moving onto the bass and finally settled on his love...the guitar. Brendan was given a drum set from his Aunt one year and the two never looked back. Spending most of their free time jamming and collaborating, the two friends quickly recruited a singer that got the ball rolling. High school became a recruiting mecca for the other members Damien Major (Guitar,Vox), and Sheldon Hannah (Bass). The boys played a number of venues, but the singer unfortunately pulled the rug out and up and quit, leaving the boys with bookings to fulfill. Troy, not wanting to disappoint their fans and obligations did what any lover of music and performing would do...He became the lead singer...and the rest, as they say...is history.
The community is very supported of us. We have been asked to perform for many fundraising events in the city, most recently a pep rally for our MJHL team, Portage Terriers, when playing for the Anavet Cup. Our local radio station, Mix 96 has featured us with a live interview and acoustic peformance on the station. We are also going to be performing at the Canada Day celebrations and the Portage Potato Fest, opening for Honeymoon Suite!!! Our community loves us and we love our community!!!!!
