Emanating from Vancouver, BC, Anomalous Disturbances, aka Terrence (Terry) O'Brien, creates ambient soundworlds
Utilizing his ever-expanding rig of sonic discumbobulation - an array of guitar synthesizers, sound processors and looping devices, through which he plays his guitars - Terrence constructs improvised mixes of ethereal washes, snaking drones, subterranean rumblings, ghostly melodies, hums, murmurs, bleeps, bloops, scrapes, sci-fi noize, disembodied voices and the occasional found sound/field recording.
Disappearing Music released two new albums from Anomalous Disturbances in late 2009 ; "Archive Two", a collection of recordings from 2001 to 2008, and "Inside", a collaborative work with brothers Chris and Wayne O'Brien.
A new release in 2011 is the collaborative project WASSONIC with fellow Ambient Ping alumni Matthew Poulakakis
