biographical info

When I was growing up I used to listen to a ton of electronic music. Real 90s stuff. I still have a soft spot for it. As my musical palette developed in the 2000s I began listening to experimental artists that totally redefined what I considered music to be. I developed a sense of self in relation to music and by the mid 2000s was producing tracks of my very own. As a human being that process of transformation has defined me more than anything else.

The music I make now revolves around percussion. It's hard to ignore a potent beat. I try to keep the energy high. I add in experimental elements as a nod to the sounds that shook me out of my mainstream haze. Last year I bought a field recorder and have since begun sucking in my surroundings with it. Noises at work, the bus, walking through downtown, talking to friends, everything. I do this to make the music more meaningful to me.

That's what it's always been about.
