Unfortunatly, I had to compress all my .wav files into MP3's which reduces all my songs quality.
I strongly advise my music is listened to through headphones, because that's how I mix it.
I've been writing songs for ten years. I ususally only write a song when I feel energy needs to be let out. (I write my songs to release energy.) Sometimes I have no idea how I stumbled onto a certain melody or guitar riff. Sometimes when I listen to one of the songs I've just recorded, I'm totally surprised and can't believe that I just wrote that. It's just like a blur, and at the end of the blur, I get to hear a song. I usually write with "three cords, and the truth." I keep it simple, 'cause that's what I like. I can write very normal, mainstream songs, but that's not what I'm inspired to do. I record with a Roland BR-864 8 track. I play an acoustic guitar, and then use common household items to try to make other sounds. (Kraft Dinner box's as shakers.)
