biographical info

Ste. Ann is a new singer/songwriter from St. Catharines, Ontario. He just released his first cd: Beggar's Release. The cd is a preview of his full cd: Outlaws ~ Patriots & Saints which is just being finished up in the studio.

Ste. Ann has built a strong music group to back him up. The main crew is Jim Rumble on drums, Bruce Chambers on bass, Ste. Ann/singer/songwriter and rhythm guitar and award winning producer Andrew Horrocks, owner of AME Studio in Kitchener.

Ste. Ann has worked most of his life in blue colour jobs; he enjoyed working in graphic design with also a stint in journalism and politics; all without a formal education. When he took songwriting seriously he found the complete package: Creation, Expression and Performance. Ste. Ann says, "I've taken that and ran with it with everything I got."

He is most grateful for beating the odds of being a former street kid, after leaving the Children's Aid as a Crown Ward, and succeeding in whatever field of work he chased. "I suppose I have taken alot of influences from my past and blended it into my music."
"I have no set formula for writing songs, it's usually just something that builds up in me. I think it's alot about listening to what's inside you and then working it."

His influences are Rock and Punk, but he sometimes write songs that are outside of that realm. "I always say I play a little Punk... a little Rock... and whatever I darn well wanna play! Rock and Live!" Andrew Ste. Ann, coming soon to you live!!
