biographical info
Andrew Shedden is a singer/songwriter based out of Peterborough,
Ontario. Serving as a sideman since 2006 in a number of different bands
including Brock Stonefish & the Battle River Blues Band, Shedden
grew as a guitar player and a performer. Even when sitting in as a
sideman, Shedden's charisma and stage presence is undeniable. The Andrew
Shedden Band has grown from Shedden's desire to play his own original
material. Debuting at Dionysus, an annual Trent University music
festival, the Andrew Shedden Band quickly garnered a reputation as an
exciting and dynamic live act.
A six month long residency at a local blues and jazz bar galvanized
the Andrew Shedden Band's live act into a tight and exciting show.
Described as "Eclectic Blues/Roots music" The Andrew Shedden Band plays
primarily original material, coupled with the occasional crowd pleasing
cover tune.
The Andrew Shedden Band has shared the stage with Juno Award Winner
Derek Miller, and opened for David Usher. Recently. Andrew has shared the stage with Donnie Walsh and Chuck Jackson from the legendary Downchild Blues Band. With a dedicated following
across the country, and an upcoming full length debut, 2011 looks to be
another successful year for the Andrew Shedden Band.
