biographical info

This is fast addition to the BIO made on March 31, 2012, edited on May 9, 2012

Andrew did not record seriously since fall of 2005 ("Top Rock"). He published two books of poetry in 2007 (Mama I Will Never Do a Crime; Andrew's Own Publishing, printed in Toronto, Canada) and in 2010 (Admirer of Beauty; Andrew Praiseword Publishing, printed in Toronto, Canada, ISBN 978-0-9867350-0-4). In the summer of 2011, Andrew lost patience to wait until he will be able to afford advanced recording and he bought, in credit, used four-track pocket recorder. With this device the artist recorded several pieces, fragments of his more recent songs. Naturally, the recordings are supported mostly by acoustic guitar. Sometimes the guitar has strings tight up with cloth. This is even less then "demo," but this is all the artist can afford with his permanent financial crisis. Several pieces, which the "songwriter-singer" will try to post now, are taken from his multidimensional website www.andrewpraiseword.com, where they had appeared more or less at the moment of creation. There are three major reasons for these "less-then-demos."

1. Andrew believes that the songs have strong potential under appropriate recording and wants to sell their temporary rights in common publishing contract deal.

2. Andrew tries to "announce" his melodies, which are still not stolen by making them known as his own creations. Currently Andrew has almost no protection against infringements of his intellectual property. (Has no privacy protection and no adequate support.)

3. Andrew does not mind against recording contract without or with minimal touring. He hopes that such songs as, for example, "Polar Star & Southern Cross," "Come on, Amadeus," "Little Flower Elves with Funny Flashlights," and "Mama I Will Never Do a Crime" even presented in the way Andrew can afford, still shows their potential--basically, under decent recording they can compete with the very best songs ever written since King Solomon.

NOTES:

1. Album EP Quantum Music, which was initially posted at New Music Canada yet in 2005 by Andrew Praiseword as by "Andrew" was "Made in Canada" (in multi-storey building on Warrender Avenue in Etobicoke, Toronto, Ontario). This was Andrew's first recording, and he just forgot to post "Made in Canada" and "name of the label" on the album. (At his best memory--he lost access to the documents--he announced his label as "Andrew Studio" at his only album's distributor CDBaby.com.)

2. Now the album may sounds pretty strange, but it, with the single "Top Rock," was the thing that moved Rock from being stalled in same point of Grunge for several years in 2005. (For about ten years.)

3. There are three different versions of "Come on, Amadeus" at the main author's website now. The date "2010," posted here is actually showing the time of uploading on the Web of the first of them, recorded nearly with a speech recorder, just to make the rights to the melody announced. The exact, presented here version with "imitated piano" (imitated by acoustic guitar; which is still very simple) was recorded in January of 2012. The song itself was written even earlier—on July 22 of 2009. The format of the website does not afford to join these dates at the track page itself.

Old BIO

Andrew (Andrew Praiseword, also known as "Andrew 1111", "Andrew P.") plays lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass, harmonica, programs drum machines and sings while recording as a studio project. That is his favourite activity. When he is performing live, he mixes the most picturesque pieces of his studio performance in a single guitar singer-songwriter's background. In 1995, when he was already adult, Andrew had immigrated to Canada. On December 9th of the year 2000, after being silent exactly for 12 years and three months, he wrote his next song. It was in English. This was "LIFE ON THE KNIFE"... When Andrew arrived to Canada his English was rather bad. Though he could write pretty well, because he participated in science on international level, he had strong difficulties with understanding of oral speech. In fact he has some sequels of the problem until now. (Andrew jokes - "I can hardly speak English, but I am writing good lyrics".) After Andrew had written "JOHN" on January 2 of 2004 and "MAMA I WILL NEVER DO A CRIME" on January 7 of 2004 (in one week; ATTENTION: "December 2004" was a MISTAKE, and it still IS a mistake at www.AltitudeSite.com/Andrew )[1], he began to appear on Toronto's club stage (he performed both of the songs in April of 2004 at "Healey's" at least twice). In February - May 2005 he recorded professional quality CD - EP "Quantum Music". During the sessions Andrew experimented with mix of Rock and Hip-Hop beats, seasoned by a classical guitar. Eventually in November of 2005 it brought him to "TOP ROK".
