1.    a Canadian singer/songwriter who splits her time between Canada and the UK

2.    known for her two appearances with Belle and Sebastian at venues in Toronto

            a. Massy Hall 2003 – was invited on stage following a request for audience participation, whereupon she performed her own song the First to Sing and received a standing ovation from 2500 audience members. Was convinced by a backstage chat with an encouraging Stuart Murdoch that a move to Glasgow would be in her best interests

            b. the Docks 2007 – performed lead vocals on the B&S tune Act of the Apostle (by prior arrangement), as a result of having befriended the band upon her move to the UK in 2004

3.  makes her living as both a musician and a photographer, being fortunate enough to possess these skills that are enjoyable, artistic and lucrative all at once   

4.   plays many instruments and is always learning more

5.  was recently awarded a grant from FACTOR  (the Foundation to Assist Canadian Talent on Recordings) to help cover the cost of a recent demo

6.   writes music in a modern folk vein, with a distinct storytelling flair and the occasional hint of a medieval ballad
