It all started in 2006 when Keven (vocals, guitar) and Frank (guitar, vocals) met at Laval University and discovered their shared interest in music. Over the following year, the pair honed their musical sound and lyrical style, playing shows as an acoustic duo. In June of 2007, they began the hunt for a drummer and bassist to round out the
line-up. It wasn't until May of 2008 that their musical paths crossed with Jon (bass). A mere three months later, they added Roger (drums). It was a new beginning for An Escape Key. They threw themselves into writing and began working toward the next step: forging their identity as a band and finding opportunities to share their music.
