AM/FM Dreams started as "Starbelly" in 1994, as a low-fi, solo project. Starbelly consisted of singer/songwriter Damian Lethbridge recording songs using a single microphone and a small home stereo in his bedroom (seemed to be a novel idea at the time, but apparently not the first to think of it). Thus was the humble beginnings of Amy Bones Music, through which 7 albums (cassette only) were released. After the making and breaking of several bands in the late 90's-early 00's, AM/FM Dreams (a line borrowed from a Tom Waits song) solidified in 2003, with Danielle Poirier, Marc Poirier and rotating cast of friends.
