A chimney that’s seen many winters and a fireplace that’s kept the family warm on all those cold nights. Soil from which life springs forth and that will cover you up when it’s time to lay your burdens down. An old man walking his dog up to feed carrots to the the horse up the street. Staying up all night with a new love, and not minding that morning has arrived before sleep. Sleep after a hard day tending to the land. The smell of your grandmother’s fresh baked bread. Bread broken with the ones you love. Loving what you do, and the world resonating around you because of it. Looking after yourself and looking after others. Going home.
