biographical info
I grew up in alberta and learned to perform on the street. This has given me a theatre/ field hollorer approach to my instruments and my singing. which basically means that i'm really loud and i prefer mics to pickups. Some people and soundmen get annoyed at the approach but that's the way i do it. too bad.besides we have the technolodgy now let's put it to use we're not working with p.a's from the 20's anymore.
I play slide guitar and harmonica on a stand useally but also perform on accordion, mandolin, dulcimer, concertina and piano.
I have two different bands i work with right now , the first is the circle of stones band, we use a synth pedal(i know i said i'm a purist but i also don't live with my head in a hole) and accordion with me on various string instruments. We play music to the circle of stones stories.
Circle of stones is a multi-media project with live artwork projected onto the walls while the performance is taking place. We cut the story up into seven pieces and put music in between. We don't show pictures during the oratory parts so the audience has time to develop their own visualizations before being exposed to the artist's work. I try to get as many different artist's that i can to show all of the different world's that exist behind each story. it's very interesting when done right.
next is a rock band you'll hear it soon , Accordion and drums , lookout world.
