Ashley Alford
Biography
Ashley Alford has been capturing audiences with her electrifying stage presence and star-like qualities since she was 15. Originally on the path to a career in opera, the 22-year-old artist has since lent her soulful, yet natural, vocal range and technique to the world of pop/rock.
In 1998 Ashley was introduced to producer Nick Peros of Peros Music Inc. who collaborated with the sultry performer on, A Tribute to the Best. "Since I didn't have any original material, I jumped at the chance to record songs from some of my favorite artists," recalls Ashley of her breakthrough into the recording industry.
Since the release of her debut album, she has continued to grow and mature as an artist. In addition to currently performing with her band on numerous national AND international projects, Ashley's career took a positive step forward when she teamed up with producer Everett Ravenstein and 2001 Juno-nominated songwriter, Rob Laidlaw in the summer of 1999. The trio worked together writing, arranging and producing two original songs for the up-and-coming artist, Heroes and Touch Me. Now also the back-to-back winner of a major singing competition, she is currently working tirelessly with producer and songwriter, Peter Linseman, and the rest of their team there at Music Mentor Productions, to complete the work on the release of her next original album, set to come out in late 2005.
