Although APE has been a mainstay in the Toronto music scene since 2001, the last few years have really seen the band evolve and progress exponentially as the group lays the foundation for their legacy. Founded by singer/guitarist/songwriter Everett Mason and bassist/songwriter Galen Weir APE has a long history of wowing audiences while forging their way into the public spotlight. Beginning with their self-titled demo released in 2007, APE has been featured regularly on the airwaves and all over the web. The band’s first full-length album, “Survival Of The Fittest” (released in the spring of 2009), aired the group much more worldwide recognition and a high degree of critical acclaim from reviewers everywhere. The album also spawned APE’s first music video for the single “It’s Not.” In addition to the hurdles passed in the studio over the past couple of years the group has also taken their live show abroad during that span of time, having played on numerous occasions all over Ontario and though the western Provinces of Canada, sharing the stage with the likes of Anvil, Soil, and Smile Empty Soul. APE's latest release "And Then There Were Two" is an EP that picks up right where Survival left off: with even more energy, deadlier riffs and undeniable hooks that are sure to lure in new recruits and further the band’s ever growing fan base.
