Anne Loree's song "Insensitive" was a breakthrough hit for Jann Arden, and nominated for a Juno. Since then Anne released a debut CD, Beyond Cinderella, performed in the Engineered Air Songwriters Series in Calgary, at the Prairie Music Awards in Winnipeg, at the Calgary Folk Festival, and with the Calgary singer-songwriter ensemble, The Collective at the WInnipeg Folk Festival, and Anne showcased her songs in 2001 in Vancouver at the Folk Alliance.
RoAr is 15 new songs - brave and insightful ballads (Dear Mrs. Moss, My Old Gang) and rockin' environmental and politically edged commentaries (Money at Stake, Like a Hole). Throw in some groovy tunes about condo development (Trippy HIppy Song) and animals rebelling in the zoo (Monkey See).
Self produced, it features percussionist Brent Van Dusen, Saxophonist Gib Monks, singers Jenny Allen and Kris Demeanor, and guitarist Tim Williams.
