biographical info
In a musical world dominated by hardcore, metal core, post-hardcore, and math rock, along with a myriad of other distinctive and confusing distinctions, there are still some bands who are trying to keep things simple to some extent.
An Incident of Glass (AIOG for all you acronym-crazies out there) began as a simple 2-piece with King Kongway on guitar/buildings and Vessel the Tugboat on drums/steam whistle. The team was originally conceived as an experimental prog band that mixed foolish guitar progressions with high-energy smashing, but not necessarily anything that could be measured as hardcore. When songster Barky the Chimp Lindsey signed his life away to the band forever, the trio began to evolve quickly. Their sound had steadily become more crushingly beautiful at every turn of the tunes they'd shreded out.
While the band has set aside much of the initial construction that was their hardcore influence, they remain entirely unafraid of wading out into the mysterious ether of music to conduct many more countless chaotic experiments. This ready-for-anything approach has helped them construct the frenzied resonance that is recognized distinctively as their own.
