Chilean-born but Toronto-based, Bomba first hit the local Toronto arts scene as a graffiti mural painter and then as bass player, honing her skills as a msician in all-female punk bands Chicken Milk and Smear, Jamaican reggae and dancehall band Women Ah Run Tings, and Latino hip hop Papi Chulo Crew and Bomba and the Latino All-Stars. Committed to rpesenting music that truly reflects street life in he native continent of Latino America, she formed Amasonica Sound Force, bringing forth a show that focuses on music found in the transistor radios of the street markets of Chile, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Jamaica or Argentina. Hip Hop, funk, punk rock, and folklore are all showcased on one stage, giving the audience a musical experience like no other in this city.
