biographical info
As the second youngest in a family of seven daughters, there was never a quiet moment in Alysha’s home — a rural 10-acre property just outside the towns of Milton and Rockwood, Ontario. Alysha’s large family and country upbringing are two of the bigger influences that have shaped her young career as a country music singer.
Alysha’s music reflects her many inspirations, which span a wide range of country music from Patsy Cline to early Reba to today’s popular stars. She will be the first to tell you that while growing up her favourite radio station was
the local oldies station—this despite some dubious and curious looks from her young friends.
Vocally, Alysha possesses a pure and rich quality, with a touch of vibrato and a soulful, bluesy feel. At the same time, her music projects an energy and personality that makes for a unique, alluring and upbeat performance.
When you see Alysha perform live, there is little doubt that years of dance competitions and hard work have helped to hone her stage presence resulting in an infectious, captivating and entertaining show. She was hard at work recording and self producing her first CD, Nuthin’ but a Chevy, which was released in November 2004.
Late 2005 she enters the studio to record her second album " I Talk Country" through indie label Cedar Trail Records which was released in April of 2006.
