biographical info
A Luna Red are a post-punk industrial band from Vancouver BC containing a member of the band Radio Berlin. Over the past two years the group has changed it's lineup (now Duckworth, Sean Ebare, Graham Jackson, and William Winslow-Hansen) it's sound: focusing more on no wave/electropanic/dance than it's moody/more gothic roots.
The band has released one record on the label Global Symphonic and will be releasing another record in conjunction with that label later this year - a split 12" remix record with San Francisco's Ghost Orchids. Check out the band's new full length LP/CD called "SLMZK," on Action Driver! An addition 7" on GSL will be out Feb 2003 followed by touring abroad.
A Luna Red's sound comes from a variety of music influences but always an exciting musical result: in the studio and live. The media abroad has referenced them to bands such as Skinny Puppy, Cabaret Voltaire, DAF, The VSS, Einsteurzende Neubauten, Coil, The Faint, etc.
