Coming off a 9 year run with his Rock band Chore, Singer/ Songwriter Chris Bell has emerged from the trying southern Ontario smoke Alive and Living.
The new outfit proclaims, Erin Aurich(formerly A Northern Chorus) on Violin and backing vocals, Kate Davies on Piano and backing vocals, Jackson Hudecki (brother to famed By Divine Right bassist Dylan Hudecki) on Drums, newbie Adam Costantini on Bass, with Bell on guitar and Lead vocal. The bands sound is far from Chore but tightly holds together with a mix of beautiful melodic flow and dark, angular arrangements, always maintaining an organic feel. Alive and Living have done one East Coast Canadian tour and are now looking to release their first EP in May. Please Leave On (PLO) is a 6 song 30 minute work which was recorded over 3 days at the Sonic Unyon Building in Hamilton with Billy Talant guitar tech. Duke Foster in the Cockpit.
