Alex Houghton is an Ottawa-based fingerstyle guitarist and composer. She has three independent albums to her credit. Her lastest, "Happybody" was released in February of 2002 and has already garnered her great reviews in Canada and the US. She has been invited to contribute a track to the US compilation entitled "Guitar Harvest" which will feature Ralph Towner and Bill Frisell among other great guitar players. As well, she has been asked to be a part of the Canadian guitar compilation entitled, North of the Borders, Vol. II
