biographical info
The Music;
His Band “Alan Snow and the Avalanche” has played more than 50 shows in the GTA since 1996, the most memorable The Horse Shoe Oct. 2003. A couple of recorded songs received airplay especially “My What A Beautiful Day” which aired on a show called “I Write The Songs” in Seattle and "Brave New Waves" CBC in Montreal and several times at the Skydome's main house sound system in Toronto pre Blue Jay games.
The music has a wide range of styles blending the sounds of Folk, Rock and Pop with a little Alternative thrown in for flavour. Accumulatively we call this original style, “Cow Rock”. Alan’s voice can be categorized as a character style that falls between the work of Lou Reed and Leonard Cohen, sometimes Velvet Underground to the Cramps. Alan is also a published poet.
