biographical info
In late 2003 Addison formed as a four member acoustic rock band with the intention of taking over the world. Not much has changed since except they’ve all but slaughtered the acoustic guitar base and are now whittled down to 3 beautiful members.
Addison was joined out of a few different friend-of-a-friend connections from their high school in Orleans and the University of Ottawa. Soon after forming they went to work building up a stage show and a few original songs for family, friends and new fans. The response was great and kept the bad boys of Addison happy enough playing small shows in the Ottawa area and recording a demo at Bullhorn Studios in 2004.
In early 2005 Addison entered the University of Ottawa Battle of the Bands and won. It ultimately landed them a steady gig at local bar The Thirsty Scholar. While there Addison developed much stronger performance abilities and invented some grittier original songs.
Addison entered another Band Wars competition early this year, but it was a little more lucrative and a lot more public. 106.9 The Bear and Molson Rock Resolution awarded Addison the #1 prize in Ottawa which included recording time at Blue Bear Studios, a trip to CMW in Toronto, and a 5 city tour of Ontario on the Molson Rocks bus in the Spring.
In the meantime Addison had recorded a 4 song promotional disc at Distortion Studios in Ottawa. They plan to release an EP late this summer to be sold independently at shows and over the Internet.
