A Place Tomorrow started off like a lot of bands, with three guys playing in the corner of a basement. Knowing from the beginning that playing other band's tunes would not help them improve their craft, they immediately began writing their own songs. Mostly self-taught, founding members Mat and Steve learned to play their instruments together through the music they created. Murray joined the band a while later, and the three guys discovered a connection so deep its as if they can read the music in each other's heads. They play instinctively, always knowing exactly where the others are going, and write spontaneously, with songs often springing to life almost fully-formed. Another thing they share is a call to music ministry. Each member has known for a long time that music is what God has for them to do in life. Exactly what that will look like remains to be seen, but the band continues to grow together, combining a wide variety of styles and influences into their own brand of Emo-rock.
