biographical info
A Last Goodbye formed in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada during the early summer of 2004. With an overabundance of really great bands in a multi-talented local arts community, the band has already proven that it’ll be one to keep a close eye on. With a few member change overs the current lineup is Sam Baron, Liam Harvey Oswald, Clarke Wiebe and Darryn Pooke. Now more motivated than ever, A Last Goodbye was quickly re-born and immediately dove head first into the songwriting style that would easily set themselves apart from everyone else. SEE Magazine describes A Last Goodbye's sound as:
" The songs are big, unashamedly so, with plenty going on–more melodious than straight-up hardcore, more complex than punk, and more angsty than angry, one can imagine them warming up crowds of skate brats on a Vans Tour in a couple of years." A Last Goodbye has shared the stage with influential acts such as Blue Skies At War, The Reason, Drive By Punch, Drakes, Burnthe8track, Ten Second Epic, The Wolfnote, Choke and played a recent sold out show at Reds (Edmonton) for 2000 kids. The summer of 2005 the band will be touring for over 30 days all over Canada. Their cleverly titled debut EP “Wide Eyes & Dreams” (Feb. 2005) reflects the band’s current position: optimistic about their promising future.
