biographical info
69 DUSTER features ex-Images In Vogue vocalist Dale Martindale. The band is a compelling mix of 70's Guitar Glam and 80's New Wave melodicism.
Formed in 1995 by Martindale and guitarist Sean "Rock" Kelly in Vancouver, 69 DUSTER relocated to Toronto and released their debut almbum MANIA! in 1996. The album was supported by numerous live appearances, three videos and a revolving line-up of musicians.
In 1998 MANIA! was picked up for distribution in Canada and Europe by Fading Ways Music. Kelly and Martindale recruited guitarist Jay McBride, bassist Jordan Michael Stewart and drummer Brian Slatter that same year.
In January of 2001, the band was signed to RCD Music/Bhurr Records. Their sophomore effort 'RIDE" was recorded that same month and was released on September 4th, 2001.
The band completed a cross Canada campus and club tour in the Fall of 2001 (with latest addition Steve Nunnaro on drums), and have recently shot a video for the single Television.
