3 Piece Suit are three misfit musicians from the outskirts of Sydney, NS who have been home growing their sticky strains of 'TAR POND SURF' since the beginning of the millennium. This genre mixing art project have combined aspects of surf, rock, blues, funk, jazz and punk to create their own signature sounding instro music that has been consistently exploding the eardrums of punk rock kids and old school rockers alike around the globe.
In the last nine years the band has played a heavy supporting role in the local underground community and has had the opportunity to play with waves of other musicians from across the nation. The guys have also made numerous appearances at unofficial "ECMA No-cases" across Atlantic Canada and has been a regular performer at Sydney's Annual GOBBLEFEST'.
To date these pirates of the surf have two releases under their belt; 'Songs for Everyday Situations' (2001), & 'HYDRO' (2002).
3PS have also been featured on numerous indie, underground and college compilations across the country, and in 2002 were featured on 'Jesus Christ Surferstar' (OmOm World, Italy). 'Jesus Christ Surferstar' is a remake of the Jesus Christ Superstar soundtrack featuring surf rock bands from around the world.
Currently, 3PS have been laying low and supporting acts passing through
the tarponds as well as up and coming acts from the Sydney scene. Occasionally releasing boot-leg recordings, the 3 misfits continue to assault the eardrums of anyone within' earshot with their ear-splitting, high energy TAR POND SURF!!!!
