biographical info

2 Cubic Feet originated from 2 guys who could play guitar and dreamed of something more. Landon, Jeff and Mark were now the beginnings of 2 Cubic Feet. Several bass players later, the trio brought in Andrew Pickering, who as well as the other three had aspirations of taking their musical talents outside of the garage. The four began jamming together, feeding off a diet of their musical influences, consisting of bands such as Staind, Trapt, and Metallica. With the help of 2 Cubic Feet, a concert was soon organized at their local high school. With a surprising and overwhelming positive response, the members of 2 Cubic Feet realized they wanted more than just a high school band to pass the time. In the spring of 2003, they recorded four of their original songs. Entitled This Way Up, 2 Cubic Feet distributed the small album around to local radio stations. The CD soon became a party favorite as well. A promising response from people who heard the CD urged the band to check out the local bar scene. With the addition of new drummer Dave Valgardson and a few practices together under their belts, 2 Cubic Feet hit the spotlight and generated a huge response from their loyal fans and bar owners alike. "We can't believe the reaction we're getting," recounts Andrew during a news interview. "This is unbelievable." With plans for a new full length album in store for them, 2 Cubic Feet plans to take to the road to promote their music and play for their fans.
