biographical info
Alexander Wilson is a media artist, performer, musician, theatre
director, and theorist based in Montreal, Canada. He composes
electro-acoustic music, produces experimental videos, interactive media
and architectural installations, and directs theatrical events. He is
co-founder of Parabolik Guerilla Theatre, with whom he has directed
experimental plays. His music revolves around projects for the his own
theatre productions, as well as his two solo projects, 01ek (Suicide Prevention : ORAL ) and Parab01ek, and with the live-electronics trio K.A.N.T.N.A.G.A.N.O (with Alexandre St-Onge et Jonathan Parant).
He has also worked professionally with robotics artist Bill Vorn as
well as the dance and media collective kondition_pluriel. He produces
art videos (Antisacrifice, 3 Magi, Execution) as well as interactive media installations (Hinge_Dimension architect Karmen Franinovic , Decay Line film maker Seth Poulin).
Alexander is currently pursuing an art-theory PhD at UQAM, in
Montreal, on the subjects of meaning, performance, ritual and
repetition. His art work has been presented in festivals and museums in
Canada, Germany, France, England, and the Netherlands.
