On June 14, we kicked off summer with the second annual CBCMusic.ca Festival, this time trading Toronto for Vancouver and the luscious green hills of Deer Lake Park. Oh, and plenty of rain.
But the weather didn't dampen anybody's spirits, nor did it detract from the amazing artists and bands that blazed through nine hours of great music. It was a big festival, featuring names like Tegan and Sara, Spoon, Dan Mangan and Hannah Georgas, as well as a host of CBC favourites including Jian Ghomeshi, Grant Lawrence, Rich Terfry and Tom Power.
Now we've attempted the impossible: condensing all of that great action into a one-hour television special, airing tonight, Sept. 5, on CBC-TV at 9 p.m. local time in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba and B.C., and 8 p.m. local time in Atlantic Canada, Saskatchewan and Alberta.
Before the TV special airs tonight, check out some of the unique fan-shot videos from the festival, made with our partner, WeShot.
