Here’s what made the news today, Friday, April 13, 2012. 

Canadian rapper Cadence Weapon debuted his new video this week for the track “Conditioning,” from his new album Hope in Dirt City, out May 29. He’s also announced North American tour dates with Japandroids.

Rapper Solar has put together a live touring band under the Jazzmatazz brand.  Solar has been absent from the scene since the death of Guru from Gangstarr in 2010, who originally came up with the Jazzmatazz concept.

Video from rapper Lil B’s guest lecture at New York University is now available.

After news of a Twitter feud broke earlier this week, it appears that the future of Mobb Deep may be in deep trouble.

At long last, President Barack Obama reveals that he prefers Jay-Z to Kanye West.
