Any day with a new Matt Mays song is a good day. I haven't actually heard it yet, but I saw it shared on Facebook, along with the name of his forthcoming album, "Coyote," a very Matt Mays sort of title. He played a great show in Toronto during NXNE, so I'm pumped for the new record.

The Stars & Metric shows will be the last 10 dates in Metric's 5-month international tour supporting Synthetica.

The tour will take them to 6 provinces (no Atlantic time-zone shows nor NL), 19 states, Germany, Belgium, Turkey, the UK, France, the Netherlands, Australia and Singapore.

I think the one thing that will be on Metric's Christmas list will be sleep.

I didn't think the ads were worth complaining about. With cuts to the CBC left right and centre, sitting through a 30 second ad is (quite literally) the very least I can do.

As long as these ads never offer to audit my thetan levels, I can sort-of accept the reasons they showed up on here. I'd appreciate just a modicum of assurance that the ad revenue is designed to bring a revenue stream to emerging artists as well as shareholders, though.

bengineer, I think they should emulate the Factor mode, and try to increase funding for music video, film projects, art installations etc industries in Canada. Let CBC Music resurrect the Live Concerts that were a hallmark of Radio 3 forever, until the last two big budget cuts.

I decided to play my own request for Eamon Mcgrath, since it wasn't going to be played. His voice is really quite interesting. I find sometimes it verges toward Bry Webb of the Constantines, but never as melodic. His voice can be really quite harsh sounding, but somehow he makes it work with his music. Almost a growl sometimes, I am sure some will not like it, maybe somewhat of an acquired taste. I wonder, if that is how it sounds on record, how he sounds live.

Oy. I absolutely loathe passive-aggression. I was lined up to volunteer at the Honda Indy in their media center. They were specifically looking for journalists.

I went to an information session on Saturday, for which I had to wake up at 530, where I found out that the primary tasks they'd assign me was photocopying and driving people around on a golf cart. The weekend would be 12-hour days, starting at 7 in the morning.

I backed out. Now the guy's acting all butthurt and offended. Should've been up-front about it from the beginning, dude.

@nvp - would that be called a buzzsaw? I believe that's what it's calledd at my local coffee joint but I've never ordered one. I think it's even dumped in a cup of coffee instead of just hot water as a normal americano is.
