Each day, Radio 2 Morning starts your day with music and stories about the interesting things going on in the world. Now, you can follow along at home. Here are the stories we're talking about today.
Have you ever pulled back from the food you really wanted to grab a healthier option? Turns out, you may have been doing the wrong thing. New research shows that fattier salad dressings, such as ranch or blue cheese, may actually benefit your health more than low fat options. Eat up, my friends.
Loads of the bands we play on Radio 2 Morning have profiles here on CBCMusic. As mentioned on air, Wintersleep is just one of them. They have over 20 songs you can check out and stream for free. So why wait? Check out Wintersleep, or lots of your other favourite Radio 2 artists right here on CBCMusic.
A couple years back, John Mayer was interviewed in Rolling Stone. He failed to think before he spoke. You'll have to read the interview to believe the things he said. But after the consequences of his actions hit, John needed to do some soul searching. If his new music is any indication, it looks like a mature Mr. Mayer.
If you liked Under the Covers today, featuring the Funk Brothers and the track "What Becomes of the Broken Hearted," theres more. That new cover, sung by Joan Osborne, is from a documentary called Standing in the Shadows of Motown. Check out the trailer here (on YouTube, since the production company prevents embedding).
