What a fun idea! I adore Cold Specks. I think next week you need a Polaris long list feature! So many great songs to vote for in that batch. Seeing that long list was how I first heard A Tribe Called Red - Electric Pow Wow Drum is now my new go-to rock out track.

Patrick Watson is either a trick or a give-away.

It's an interesting idea, adding to the programming process.I compared my choices before and after listening to the hack list. Only one was the same, and I had to listen to the set a few times to get it down from four to three.

I'm not sure how this is hacking the Signal; they're all Signal artists already.

It's like hacking Tempo with Mozart.

I'd have to ask 'Spark' but isn't hacking a little mischievious, sneaking in something unconventional, playing something you wouldn't normally.

Hi Derek. You make a good point. This is our first time out with this idea. I'll try adding some tracks that aren't on our playlist this week, to see if any make it to the top three. And, yes, 'hacking' can refer to something sneaky or unauthorized, but it can also refer to reverse/re-engineering software or hardware to do something it wouldn't normally do. It's all in fun. Cheers!

Hi Joey, it was fun. I really enjoyed your commentary on the jutebox show, and the new artists you discovered.I'm still working through the artists to get a play list. It's messy, and hard, real hard, to not just add all the tracks of your favourite artist.That's what I took from the show, how each contributer's playlist was as fine tuned as an old John Cusack 'High Fidelity' mixed tape.
