Yesterday, in the second match up of our tournament of guitar riffs, Jimi Hendrix defeated Cream to advance into the next bracket. As a result, Eric Clapton's master guitar playing is currently left out of the second round.
Here's where things get heated: Eric Clapton (this time with Derek and the Dominos) gets a second chance to advance in our battle of riff's greatest. But now Clapton has to compete against one of the most incredible Canadian guitar songs of all time!

Squaring off today is Derek & the Dominos' gut wrenching song "Layla" and The Guess Who's chart topping classic "American Woman". Both songs were released in 1970, both are an ode to a lady they once knew and, most importantly, both have unforgetable guitar riffs. Who will advance? It's entirely up to you!
