The 1980s marked the reign of glam metal, new wave and the early days of rap, but even more so than all of that, it was the golden age of TV theme songs. The songs often had very of-the-moment production (a lot of synth), memorable verses that told you the entire plot and hooks catchy enough that some theme songs became chart-topping hits. Alan Thicke even had a lucrative career penning some of the most memorable themes from that decade.
In the quiz below, we've gathered some of the best, biggest and most cult theme songs from the '80s and written two trivia bits: one true; one false. How well do you know your '80s theme song trivia? Take our quiz and share your score. If you score anything over 95 per cent, congratulations! But there might also be a good chance you didn't leave the couch for an entire decade.
