Live from Breakglass is a new project by Montreal's Breakglass Studios (whose clients include Arcade Fire, Karkwa, Patrick Watson, Radio Radio, Sam Roberts Band, Stars and so many more). In collaboration with Parce Que Films, the studio has begun to open up its exclusive live sessions to an online audience, for free. Studio co-owner James Benjamin says it's a chance to share "those magic moments that can only happen in the studio" with a much wider public.

Tuareg guitarist and singer-songwriter Bombino and his band happened to find themselves with a free day in Montreal this week, and decided to drop by Breakglass for a visit. He sat down in the control room for a ten-minute chat (in French) with Benjamin, before heading out in front of the live studio audience for an hour of magic.

A number of Montreal musicians were in the audience for this intimate in-studio show, including Andrew Barr, Joe Grass and Patrick Watson. Perhaps we'll be seeing them featured in futre Live from Breakglass shows?
