Montreal teen piano sensation Daniel Clarke Bouchard will appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday, April 8. It's the first time the 14-year-old classical pianist will perform on a syndicated American TV show, having already been a guest of Radio-Canada's Tout le monde en parle, CBC's George Strombolopoulos Tonight and CTV's Canada AM.

We predict DeGeneres' daytime audience of 4 million viewers will immediately click with Clarke Bouchard, who told CBC Music, "I think of a happy place when I perform, like playing for my grandma." They'll hear him play Schubert's Impromptu in E-flat major, Op. 90, No. 2.

Bouchard released his debut recording, Scènes d’enfants, on the ATMA label in November, the same month he performed as soloist with Montreal's Orchestre Métropolitain under the direction of Yannick Nézet-Séguin. He currently studies at the the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal.

Clarke Bouchard performs with jazz pianist and mentor Oliver Jones in this promotion video produced by ATMA:
