Country legend Johnny Cash passed away more than a decade ago — but previously unreleased music by the man in black is coming to light.
While going through a huge stash of his mom and dad's effects, Cash's son, John Carter, recently unearthed the master tapes for Out Among the Stars, an album that Johnny recorded for Columbia Records shortly before the label dropped the music icon.
The album is due out on March 25th, but Cash hand-picked an earthy and darkly touching ballad called "She Used to Love Me a Lot" to release in advance.
"I really love this song," Cash told Rolling Stone. "The depth that's there reminds me of the real serious stuff that Dad did later in his life. And I truly think it's one of the beautiful undiscovered gems in my dad's catalog."
