When the CBC Beetle roared into our capital city of Ottawa, Ont., we were thrilled to find that Hawksley Workman was in town! He's one of Canada's best singer-songwriters, raconteurs and rock 'n' roll vaudevillians, currently starring in his one-man play, The God That Comes.

Hawksley agreed to not only take us on his own personally guided tour of Ottawa in the CBC Beetle, but also to serenade us with his perfect tune "Safe and Sound," one of the greatest road trip songs of all time.

Hawksley also made sure to remind Grant Lawrence of his new all-star band Mounties, in a very special way.

Get ready to feel patriotic.
