Speeding tickets: about four five years ago, when Smart cars were new in Canada, I saw one get pulled over for speeding. Probably not going much above 130 kph, but that's enough to get you noticed by the cops 'round here.

Good morning all.

To put my comment (I'll frame it as a comment, rather than a complaint) in context: I can understand why the tour might not go to the Atlantic provinces, given that they are a little out of the way--albeit, lovely. I also understand why some smaller centres (sorry, Guelph) might not be on the lis because, frankly, they can't hit 'em all--BUT for all it's faults Edmonton is a city of just under a million people, offering all kinds of fantastic things, so it seems an odd exclusion.

Guys,

Last night I was talking to my mom and she continues to harp try and motivate me to put my pictures somewhere online for her to look at.

Other people have mentioned this to me.

Any suggestions of a photo sharing place online? (funny how the blog yesterday was on Instagram)

Note: It has to be fucking easy and convenient or else I won't do it. (maybe have a smartphone app involved?)

@Tea&C -- how are you taking most of your photos these days?  cell phone?  digital camera?  dslr?  Whatever the case, a lot of newer cameras or phone apps have built-in integration with a lot of the major photo sharing sites (e.g., Instagram > Flickr) so that when you take a pic, you have the option of immediately uploading it to the sharing site at the same time (like FictionJunkie is doing).

I've been on-and-off Flickr for years now; their Android app is okay and the Instagram integration makes cross-posting quick and easy for me.

Jack & Lois at the corner of Barton St. and James North. You can have your eggs Benedict, fruit bowl and Steam Whistle while listening to Diamond Rings on vinyl, ALL-DAY; It's a hipster haven.

Chagall's at The Sheraton Hotel in Jackson Square. Their brunch buffet has a such a wide selection, I challenge you to have one of everything without exploding.

the last time i took highway 3 it was in my '66 rambler, no air conditioning, no overdrive, and 4 wheel drum brakes.  and i was in a hurry. it would have been beautiful if it wasn't a hot, terrifying rush.

i arrived at the campground after they'd closed the gates, got seperated from my sister as we were walking around in the dark trying to find the rest of my family.

the ranger came looking for me.

next time i'll plan better.

Are we talking about outrageous burgers? The BCIT Pub had what they called the Sasquatch Burger. It was pretty much your average cheeseburger, but instead of a bun?

Two grilled cheese sandwiches.

I had it once. It was glorious.

I find too many burger places (at least in Van) are afraid to let beef taste like beef and mix in tons of seasonings, cover it in some kind of fancy onion jam and aioli leaving you with something that isn't really a burger anymore, it's just a fancy meatloaf sandwich.

Now, I'm all for a bacon cheeseburger but everything in a burger should compliment that strong beef flavour note which is what makes a burger a burger in my mind.
