Lana

The only way I ended up here an hour and a half in to your show was to start a private browsing session. At first your link was broken, so I voted on searchlight, then when your link went from watercooler to searchlight, it kept returning me to the green you have voted for these people page, with no commenting option.

But happy hump-day!

Is this wednesday march 20th?  I feel lost and confused!

If if is good morning and happy spring.  We got another 10cm of snow here last night and its not supposed to stop until saturday.

@Lana,  Welcome back to the snowy cold.  Don't worry though, soon the temperature will skyrocket past that of Vancouver and you will be sweating in the shade.

And while both acts floored me and made me happy I spend so much money and time on music, the best part of the show was at the merch table, I found and procured the newly repressed copy of Set Yourself On Fire! We did not stay for Electric 6 who draw a big crowd in Winnipeg every time they come here. So the boys had a full house for their set! They will be heading to TO this morning.

I asked Matt 1 your question his response was they are hoping to stay with you when they get in your area but he was unsure of the exact date without looking at his itinerary. What show will you go see? Klamath Falls?

@Sjaan - Thanks for the report.  I have tickets for Peg and I to go up to Klamath Falls (300 miles north) on Saturday, April 6, when that was listed as the last show of the tour, but Geoff messaged me that they had added a show at Davis, which is 15 miles west of Sacramento.  I expected it after KFalls, but it's the night before, Friday, April 5.  This changes everything, since Peg and I were going to drive halfway up on Friday night, then the rest of the way up.  Now, driving 600 miles over two days to see a show doesn't sound like much fun, what with all of the driving.  And since they're here the night before, we will probably skip KFalls, and let the tickets go.

They are completely different venues.  The Ross Ragland Theater in Klamath Falls is a converted sit down movie theater where a lot of plays are put on.  At Sopia's Thai Kitchen in Davis is an outdoor deck - and is where we saw The Wooden Sky last year.  Great place when its a warm evening.  But it is early April, so cross your fingers!

@JonDixon It was HORRID the first day, but I didnt use enough sweet fruit...apple doesnt push through enough...it smelled like a pureed salad, and I almost vomited.

honey and strawberries and more apple fixed it, but made it look browner.

Spinach isn't that bad in it...it's SUPER plain (the kale is stronger)...a lot of the recipes that I've found for berry-based smoothies add in spinach because its not so powerful taste wise.

This one was actually really good...once i fixed it.

@JonDixon. I call my emersion blender a 'neurm neurm" because that is the sound it makes. Sometimes I say that in front of people by accident.

Kirk - we were all thinking it (just me?), you weren't supposed to say anything. Now switter is on to us being on to switter being on to us.

Did you see that lack of gender specific pronouns?

'neurm neurm" I've got one and that's just what it sounds like. It's handy when making soups as well

I don't actually love either song in that Elton Boulton category. I like i.No and Close Talker best.  Too bad they have to square off.  Which ever one wins will get my vote to the end.

Again, props to Elton for his service and all he's done to help other vets. It's great that so many more people know about him and the issues he cares about now because of Searchlight.  CBC rules.

@Binsy. I haven't bothered to listen to Randi Boulton, I am a petty enough person to vote for her just because I have taken enough of a dislike to Elton Adams

@Jon I own a juicer but I never use the damn thing, it's way too much of a pain to clean. There's a place near my house that makes a mean juice so I just swing by there.

@binsy, it appeared as though some aboriginal artists from across the country had banded together in a vote-for-this-person-in-this-area way and a host on an aboriginal show said something about it too (I think), so Elton Adams comaplained that it was not fair. WHen Grant read the complaint he added that he had mentioned Elton Adams on every morning show in Canada already for hte searchlight stuff. Then Grant played part of an Elton Adams song that was so horrible he only played part. That was it.
