Country singer Mindy McCready, best known for her double-platinum-selling album Ten Thousand Angels, was found dead by police on Sunday on the front porch of her home in Heber Springs, Ark. According to CBC, the 37-year-old's death was the result of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

McCready made headlines over the last several years for ongoing legal troubles, as well as battling addiction. In early 2010, she appeared on the reality television show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew.

McCready leaves behind two young sons, and her death follows the suicide of her partner, a record producer named David Wilson, who shot himself just over a month earlier, on Jan. 13.
